NFC-Equipped Cell Phones / Smartphones List


Along with the growth of communications technology continues to rise and go into almost every corner of business, some products have cell phones and smartphones equipped with NFC chipset, which allows users to use mobile phones / smartphones as a means of payment online. Google Nexus S
A full-featured smartphone running the latest version of Android, 2.3 'Gingerbread' and manufactured by Samsung, has NFC support built in. The device, set to be the first widely available and easily obtainable NFC handset, is now available at retail in the US and in the UK and is expected to become available worldwide in the near future.

Samsung S5230 NFC
Also known as GT-5230N, Samsung Star, Avila, Player One and Tocco Lite. This phone is available at retail stores in France, and know as the Samsung Player One Cityzi. It was also used in Telefonica's Sitges pre-commercial pilot as well as in the Czech Republic and Poland.

Nokia C7
This is one of the most famous Symbian^3-powered Nokia smartphone. Nokia N7 contains NFC hardware but not been activated yet, and need a firmware upgrade that will be available early in 2011.

Samsung SHW-A170K
Samsung SHW-A170K is a touch screen for KT (Korea). It features SWP and is the launch handset for KT's Show Touch commercial NFC service.

Casio IT-800RGC-35
Casio IT-800RGC-35 is another ruggedised handheld PDA built for business use that incorporates NFC suppors.

Chinese phone manufacturer Hedy is supplying SWP-compliant NFC handsets for China Unicom's NFC roll out, using an NFC controller manufactured by Shanghai Fudan Microelectronics. Malaysian manufacturer Fifth Media offers a range of specialist NFC PDAs/smartphones aimed at the B2B market. The Axia A306 is a business-class Windows Mobile 6.1 PDA/phone while the newer Axia A206, a collaboration with Garmin Asus, runs Windows Mobile 6.5.3 and costs from US$620 to $700 depending on volume. Sagem Wireless Cosyphone is an NFC handset supporting the single wire protocol (SWP). It is aimed at the over-50s and at the B2B market. Shanghai Simcom is also manufacturing NFC handsets using Shanghai Fudan components. The 3G CDMA EVDO phones are marketed under the East Com brand name.
