07 June 2011 - MetroPCS and Huawei officially launched the update software for Huawei Ascend M860 to Android 2.2 (Froyo). This update not for Huawei Ascend 2 (M860SE). Update could be applied for special Tapout edition, but WILL DELETE all tapout content. The update is promised to enhanced processor management for faster performance, Apps, games can be saved on a microSD card as long as there are available space, improved voice control (voice search, voice dialer ovet bluetooth, voice navigation), improved news and weather widgets for faster sync times and more intuitive interface, swype usability enhancements - predictive text and built in 65.000-word dictionary.

back up ALL DATA onto a microSD card
All exsisting apps will need to be re-downloaded from android market (no charge for previously purchased apps).
After Update:
Home screen buttons will reduce from 9 to 5
Pictures and Videos will automatically stored to external memory - So microSD card is always required!.
