VoLTE-capable Smartphones on Metro this Q2 but Still Looking for other Chipset

MetroPCS continues to improve service quality by bringing the latest technology, flexibility and the best price for their customers. According to reports, Metro will present VoLTE-capable phone in the middle of this year (2012), which also means VoLTE service will be launched. And not only that, they also mentioned to launch related-devices with a low price (about $ 100 free contract).

Is still from the same source, reported that "the contract-free carrier would have at least 1, if not 2, handsets with VoLTE in the second half of the year", MetroPCS Chairman and CEO Roger Linquist speaking on the carrier's fourth-quarter earnings call. He also added that Metro was seeking to use the Qualcomm MSM8960  chipset other than (the same chipset that successfully tested by Verizon for voice calls using the LTE (Vo-LTE), and for that might be causing the delay.
