Thunderbolt is the first Verizon's smartphone that launched to fully support their LTE 4G network. In the note, HTC Thunderbolt can download up to 10 Mbps using LTE networks. Therefore it is not excessive if people came to enjoy this fast network, both loyal Verizon customer, or perhaps a new user that curious about the LTE 4G.
Meanwhile in the red corner, there is the iPhone 4 that at the beginning of the first week record sales figures are quite staggering, and even beat any iPhone sales for the category in the first week. I really like Apple products, especially the iPhone 4, both the GSM and CDMA (Verizon). But in this case however the iPhone 4 is not given the 4G ability, especially LTE.
A little disappointing when iPhone 4 was announced without 4G, because previously rumored will be equipped with LTE capability. At which time Verizon is heavily suggested their new 4G LTE services. "Analysts at BTIG Research polled 150 Verizon Wireless stores and asked the sales people whether they sold more iPhones or Thunderbolts during the previous weekend; 61% of stores reported that sales of both devices were nearly identical, while a full 28% said the Thunderbolt was outselling the iPhone. Some 11% of stores, mostly in the Southeast, claimed the iPhone 4 was still outselling HTC’s newest smartphone". BGR reports.
Does this mean there is a large percentage of Verizon's users who run to LTE and leaving 3G EVDO Rev A?. HTC Thunderbolt has the advantages 4.3-inch touchscreen, 8-MP camera and 8 GB of flash memory onboard, the latest OS Android and 4G LTE capability. After all iPhone 4 is not 4G devices, but have a retinal display and of course the Apple logo on the back :). That's why may be right HTC Thunderbolt bites the iPhone 4 in Verizon's cage, and in the future, if all people to migrate to 4G LTE, while the upcoming iPhone 5 (which is not clear) still without LTE?.
