Verizon Jetpack CDMA GSM LTE MiFi 6620L Global Ready

Jetpack 6620L is the latest 4G LTE MiFi from Verizon Wireless. It works on mutiple cellular bands over CDMA Global and LTE frequencies. The device was made mainly for 4G LTE network specially at 700 and 1700 MHz LTE bands 13 / 4. However Jetpack 6620L also supports slower data transfer via UMTS / HSPA network, CDMA EVDO REV.A and even the basic wireless data via 2G GPRS/EDGE or CDMA20001x.

Just for note, the device transmits data via WiFi a/b/g/n (ac yet), so some users may experienced lost signals caused by limited range of the WiFi n technology. Be sure to stay close to the 6620L to get better connections and don't move away to other rooms separated by wall in around 10 meters. Don't miss tech comparison between Jetpack 6610L vs. 5510L available right after the specs.

Jetpack 6620L v.s. 5510L tech comparison

The advantages of the new Jetpack 6620L, compared to previous MiFi (Jetpack 5510L) might located in its bigger battery capacity for more long lasting usage, more bigger screen and colorful informative display, global ready up to HSPA network and up to 15 WiFi-capable devices. Little bit interesting that a 4000 mAh battery in 6620L seems not only designed to power the MiFi its self, but also can be used as a charger for other devices like phones, smartphones just like what so-called Power Bank does.

Other differences compared to 5510L located also on 6620's LTE bands supported for 700/1700 MHz AWS band, 5510 only 700MHz by default. CDMA 1x EVDO 3G Rev.A still same, and most important difference is its support for global network on GSM and UMTS for up to HSPA network technology. Global ready..yeah...
