Novatel Wireless U679 is the USB form factor modem dubbed the Turbo Stick. It works with LTE 700 MHz band (AWS) and also with GSM and HSPA+ network. This LTE USB Modem available with Bell in a part of first launch of its LTE 4G service in several areas in Canada.

In September 14, 2011, Bell Mobility announced its 4G LTE wireless network service in Toronto, Mississauga, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo and Guelph. Other cities in Canada are scheduled immediately following in late 2011 to 2012. For now, Bell is the only carrier that offers the 4G LTE service in Canada. Temporarily, customers who have not covered the LTE network may enjoy fast Internet services using the HSPA network. According to the news, Bell HSPA+ network covers up to 95% of Canada. The data plans start at $45 monthly per 1.5GB data.
