No more Verizon's Ads on Facebook - Stop Hate for Profit campaign

More and more big brands are joining the Stop Hate for Profit campaign - FB ads boycott. A Verizon spokesperson told to the BBC, that their brand safety standards have not changed. They are pausing their advertising on Facebook for no limited time, until Facebook can make an acceptable way out that makes them comfortable and is consistent with what they were done with other partners including YouTube.

According to the advocacy groups including the Anti-Defamation League, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and the Color Of Change, the Stop Hate for Profit campaign is the response to Facebook's long history of allowing racist, violent and verifiably false content to run rampant on its platform".

Many Big Brands support the campaign

The case of George Floyd's death is like opening a mask, where clearly racism is still very thick. Drastically, this case aroused almost all elements of society in the United States. Not to forget, many big brands including Verizon took to the field to give full support to this anti-racist campaign. Reported earlier, the leading ice cream company Ben and Jerry's and outdoor brands The North Face, Patagonia and REI have also joined this campaign.

As a human being, I express my deepest condolences to the family, and all who are victims of the riots occured. We hope this case will end soon. We know that too many bad consequences can arise if this continues. I believe that no matter how small the action is needed for the achievement of a peaceful, comfortable and safe atmosphere.

Update:
Coca-Cola joins the campaign, starting on July 1 2020, they will pause advertising on all social media globally for at least 30 days.
