I would say, this is the Android device rather than a hub or a portable wifi hotspot or MiFI. Its powered by Android OS (9 - Pie), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 4G of RAM, 32GB ROM and the form factor? its bigger than a regular WiFi devices, keep it in your pocket when on the go is fine (in the pocket of the bag). A five inches of screen on a MiFI is the biggest for now. It allows user to manage everything easier.
The HTC Hub 5G designed to be the powerful wifi hotspot device for high-end users with faster data transfer in places like home, small office and even on the go. 5G service provides more speeds for more user.
The device is designed to be the home media center, simply turn on the HTC Hub 5G, connect your smart TVs or other wifi-capable devices and enjoy 4K Video streaming. Note: Wired connection required. USB-C adaptor and streaming softwares used could impact the quality of 4K streaming.

Okay..this is the 5G hub, ready to catch 5G signals from provider (in coveraged areas) and share 5G data speed to 20 wifi-enabled gadgets and devices. It is interesting to wait for now, since 5G network is being developed all over the world, waiting for the unlocked model of the HTC 5G Hub will available in free market.
And for those who are looking for a HTC 5G hub manual, currently not available. The official HTC page does not / does not yet provide. A little weird, htc's youtube page also doesn't / hasn't loaded anything about this 5G device.
