Samsung has announced an update to the Android 2.2 Foyo will soon be available for the Samsung Galaxy S series. Currently, updates can be done through a software update program "Kies". Kies is a desktop application that is currently only compatible with Windows (Windows Vista). But it clearly opens the possibility in the future could be made through the facilities of OTA.
The update will include many excellent lates Android features such as, Android 2.2 JIT compiler, Adobe Flash Player (Adobe Flash Player) 10.1 compatibility, New Android Market with auto-updating, Speed improvements, Pinch-to-zoom homescreen flyover, Improved default keyboard, Quick links to “GPS” and “Auto rotation” toggles on notification bar added, Slightly different, graphics and transitions with app drawer and default icon dock, Colored icons in settings, GPS Fix, Colored settings icons, Media Hub, Darker menu theme, navy blue color, Better Exchange support, Video (video) records in MP4 format, New Search widget, and New Gmail applications.
Update Android Froyo for Samsung Galasy S will begin deploying in European smartphone markets, periodically and will soon be available throughout the world where there are Galaxy S users. Currently, almost all devices based on Android OS is ready to work with Android Froyo updates, and now Galaxy S will be the first to receive updates to Froyo.
