BB PlayBook Tablet - Wi-Fi Only Version April 16th on BestBuy, 3G /WIMAX Version this Summer on Sprint


RIM finally confirmed the availability of the QNX-powered Tablet BlackBerry Playbook. This 7" BB Tablet set to sale in more than 20000 retail stores and outlets is US and Canada on April 19th, and pre-order is available on BestBuy since March 22 2011.



BlackBerry Playbook is likely to face the iPad 2 for the same market class and price is almost the same as well. This RIM's first tablet (Wi-Fi only) will available in three options based on built-in storage capacity. The 16 GB for $499, 32 GB for $599 and $699 for 64 GB.

Meanwhile, the BlackBerry Tablet 3G (EVDO Rev. A) and 4G WiMAX version that rumored to be launched by Sprint from the beginning, expected to be launched official by Sprint on this summer, and the BB Playbook 3G version of CDMA and LTE 4G expected to be carried by Verizon, there still no any confirmation yet.
