21 April 2011 - As previously reported, that Motorola Droid BIONIC will likely be canceled, last reported that the sources in the WJS confirmed Droid Bionic is not canceled and will be launched in summer this year.
Although we do not get much information from Verizon about Droid Bionic, many reports stating that Verizon is committed hardly to keep using the name "Bionic" for their next LTE 4G smartphone. Speculation continues leading to a Motorola Targa that was allegedly to be launched to replace the "Etna" Bionic by using the same name. Nevertheless, Motorola's page on the website still displays the Bionic.
There's no question that the name "Bionic" seems to have attached and have a fanatical fan, although not yet launched, then when heard the cancellation rumors, suddenly they were shocked and disappointed. Between the name and the device seems to be the important thing here. Of course, Verizon may launch a Motorola Targa with name Bionic, but maybe fans would feel castrated when the Droid Bionic they are buying is not the Bionic like they knew before. They are looks very different, aren't they ?.. see the picture below. Although not actually a problem as long as bring better quality in general.
We will wait for official information, whether Droid Bionic is the Motorola Targa, or once Bionic remain Bionic, and let the Targa being the Targa. Stay update!.
UPDATE:
April 28, 2011 - The Droid Bionic page on Motorola website has been revoked, Motorola Droid Bionic "as we know" possibly we'll never get the hands on. I hope not too hard to say goodbye?.
We'll wait for Bionic's new specs and possibly a new form that was promised to be "completely different". Dual-core processors?, 3D hardware?, higher MP camera?, Stay update!
