May 26, 2011 - Today, Google announced its collaboration with Sprint as the carrier who provides the network and NFC-enabled phone, the Nexus S 4G WIMAX, Citi, MasterCard and FistData to begin rool out the phone-payment. Lets start to call it Google Wallet. Tap, pay and save!.
Google wallet service will begin available in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington, D.C. This is the year, where the mobile local commerce will begin. Subway, American Eagle, Walgreens, The Container Store and more will be covered by Google Wallet.
Google Offers
Google Offers can be added directly from a Google search and linked to your account. They'll then be applied automatically to Google Wallet purchases . Google Offers also seems to be made to compatible with everything, can also hold loyalty cards, such as supermarket cards or other store loyalty cards. Deeper in the not so long future, Google will work with the Banks, retailers to join and developing this new payment service.
Nexus S 4G is a Wimax-enabled smartphone, powered by Android OS and has NFC-chipset inside. For now, this is he only available for NFC payment through Google Wallet service, and by 2014, expected 150 million smartphone will be NFC-enabled. Google.com/Wallet
